We are excited to welcome this month's presenter:
George Rogers
George Rodger’s will present on the subject of marquetry. It is a specialized decorative art form where thin, precisely cut pieces of wood veneer—and sometimes materials like shell, ivory, or metal—are assembled like a jigsaw puzzle to form intricate designs or pictures. These assembled patterns are then glued onto a substrate, such as furniture, boxes, or wooden panels, to add luxurious ornamentation.
