National Meeting Information SPRING MEETING Middleton (Madison), WI June 16 – 19, 2021 (Updated 3-29-2021) START PACKING YOUR BAGS AND TOOLS Based current Dane County Department of Health Covid-19 protocols the Spring Meeting is “ON”. Registration materials will be emailed to those members having a valid email address on file. Remaining members will receive their registration materials via direct mail. You can expect to receive the materials the second week of April assuming no significant changes in the Covid-19 protocols occur. This meeting will deviate from our regular meeting in several respects. Due to Covid-19 protocols masks will be required at all functions including the tailgate session on Thursday. Social distancing will also be required which will impact seating at the Welcome Reception, Auxiliary Luncheon, Banquet, auction, and programs. Due to bus seating restrictions NO organized tours are planned. We have highlighted a number of Madison area attractions that you may want to tour on your own. The Hospitality Room will be open for limited seating. Members may take their food and beverage to the common area in the Lobby or back to your room. All food and beverages in the Hospitality Room will be served to you. No self-serve items will be available. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the meeting. We encourage all members to get their Covid-19 vaccinations. Having been vaccinated you and your friends may feel more comfortable socializing in your hotel rooms. Individuals wishing to open their rooms for in-room tool trading are free to do so but need to observe Covid-19 protocols. * HANDWORKS 2020 HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 2ND & 3RD 2022
The event will take place in the center of the National Historic Landmark Amana colonies, Handworks is being held in the Festhalle Barn, Timber & Tools, and Greenwood Barn right in the middle of Main Amana. Admission Handworks is a gathering of like-minded hand tool makers for the purpose of promoting the beauty of hand woodworking and the tools that go along with it. As such there is no attendance fee. Handworks doesn't make any money on this event. Please consider a donation to Handworks to help us cover expenses, and promote repeat events. Your donation at the door is much appreciated.
